April 21, 2014. Set for Monday morning, the administrative court hearing for Damon Mallatere, the hotel executive charged with three counts of involuntary manslaughter, has been continued again until June 23, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

In January, Mallatere was charged with those three counts and one count of assault in relation to the three deaths that are linked to carbon monoxide poisoning inside Room 225 of the Best Western hotel in Boone.

Daryl Jenkins, 73, and Shirley Jenkins, 72, died in April 2013, while Jeffrey Williams, 11, died in June 2013 after spending the night in the same room. Jeffrey’s mother suffered permanent brain damage, according to Assistant District Attorney Britt Springer, who announced the charges at a press conference earlier this year.

In February, Mallatere entered an initial plea of not guilty and posted a bond of $40,000.
