Beech Mountain Volunteer Fire Department to Dedicate New Town Park on Saturday, June 15

May 29, 2013. On Saturday, June 15, at noon the Beech Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and the Town of Beech Mountain will dedicate its’ newest addition to the Beech Mountain Parks and Recreation Department’s family of parks and playgrounds, Fireman’s Park. Dedication to take place at Fire Station #2 located at 513 St. Andrews Road, Beech Mountain.

images-3The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at noon with representatives from those organizations that made the creation of this new park possible to include: Mountain Electric, the Beech Mountain Club, the Kiwanis Club, the Town of Beech Mountain and the Beech Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.

Join the festivities to follow as the Beech Mountain Volunteer Fire Department opens its doors to everyone from noon to 2 p.m. for an open house. 

“There will be free hot dogs, cotton candy and lemonade for all as well as fire apparatus demonstrations, static displays of fire fighting equipment and vehicles and fire station tours,” said Fire Chief Bob Pudney.

The Beech Mountain Parks and Recreation Department urges you to join us for the dedication in support of your town and the volunteer fire fighters who dedicate their time to our safety and wellbeing.
