Mountain Villa Motor Lodge Demolished To Soon Make Way for TownePlace Suites by Marriott


June 1, 2017. The old Mountain Villa Motor Lodge property, located near Walgreens and the Boone Golf Club, is now demolished, and the site pad looks ready for the construction of a new 54-foot-tall hotel. Earlier this year, the Boone Board of Adjustment approved of a proposed development for the 5.89-acre property: a TownePlace Suites. May 23 Adjustment Meeting for Variance Request, N.C. 105 Property Planned for Auto Rental Agency


May 15, 2017. Boone Board of Adjustment will meet on May 23 to hear a variance request from Templeton Properties regarding a culvert installation for a future development on N.C. 105. The application notes that a culvert for 140 linear feet of stream will be installed to redevelop the property. Chetola Sporting Reserve in Blue Ridge Mountain Club Open for Shooting and Gathering


May 15, 2017. On 67 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountain Club, Chetola Sporting Reserve is a private club open to those with memberships and guests staying at Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock. Chetola Resort celebrated the opening of the Chetola Sporting Reserve last Thursday with a ribbon cutting at the reserve’s 1,784-square-foot clubhouse. Nearly two years ago, Chetola Resort purchased the property after management of Blue Ridge Mountain Club heard through the village grapevine that Chetola’s owners were looking for property on which to shoot guns. Road to Recovery for Chetola Resort Condo Rentals

March 28, 2017. Multiple meetings, countless working hours, a network of supporters, and infinite prayers. That’s only part of what was needed for Chetola Resort’s condominiums to get back online after a three-month period that found the Blowing Rock resort restricted from renting its privately owned condominiums due to a non-compliance issue with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC). It also took an inordinate amount of due diligence and patience. Which in the end, all paid off.

Last year, Eric Fairbanks, owner of multiple Hungry Howie’s franchises, secured a permit for culvert replacement on the Blowing Rock Road property with Boone Planning and Inspections.
