Watauga Democrats Host Grand Opening of Party Headquarters Sunday, Sept. 9, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Sept. 3, 2012. The Watauga County Democratic Party will host an open house at their 2012 campaign headquarters (352 W. King St. in Boone, the old Beanstalk directly across from First Baptist Church) next Sunday, September 9, between 3 and 6 pm.

“Everyone’s invited to come on down and enjoy a hotdog and other good snacks,” said Party Chair Diane Tilson. “And since our local delegates to the National Convention will be back fresh from Charlotte, you might hear a good story or two!”

Both Mayor Loretta Clawson and Boone Town Councilman Andy Ball are official delegates to the National Democratic Convention, but many other Watauga County Democrats are filling volunteer roles in Charlotte.

The grand opening next Sunday will also be a chance to pick up “campaign swag” for all the Democratic candidates and to meet the local headquarters staff, sign up for various volunteer activities (like the next “Cash Mob”), and get tickets ($10 each) for the huge Fall Rally on September 22nd.
