May 21, 2013. Watauga County Board of Commissioners holds a public hearing at its Tuesday meeting regarding the county’s proposed 2013-14 fiscal year budget.
County Manager Deron Geouque and his staff recommended the $55.8 million budget a couple weeks ago, while the commissioners combed through the budget during two work sessions thereafter.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. With two other public hearings on the docket, which include the potential abolishment of Watauga County Department of Social Services board, the hearings start at 6 p.m.
