Sept. 14, 2013. The Watauga County Cash Mob will visit Shannon’s Curtain, Bed & Bath shop at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, and then go to lunch together at Basil’s Fresh Pasta and Deli. The Cash Mob is open to everyone who wants to help make an organized infusion of economic stimulus to the local economy.

Shannon’s (1950 Blowing Rock Road, Boone), founded in 1985, is family owned and operated and offers a full line of linens for use in the bath, bedroom, and dining room. Shannon’s offers brand name merchandise as well as a “bargain loft.”

Basil’s Fresh Pasta and Deli (246 Wilson Dr., Boone) is a new Italian-style deli, offering daily sandwich and hot dish specials made from scratch.

The Watauga Cash Mob has been visiting community businesses monthly for a year and invites everyone in the community to get into the spirit of “buying local.”
