“Today the House passed a budget that will balance in 10 years. It’s time for Washington to stop spending money it doesn’t have. The Path to Prosperity cuts wasteful spending and fixes our broken tax code to close loopholes. Families in Western North Carolina have to balance their household budgets, and Washington must do the same. It is truly irresponsible to continue taking from hardworking taxpayers to spend more in Washington. To strengthen our economy and create jobs, we need a balanced budget that doesn’t increase the tax burden on America’s families.”
