Sept. 12, 2014. This week, the American Farm Bureau Federation named Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) a Friend of the Farm Bureau for the 113th Congress.

According to the Farm Bureau, the award is given to individuals who “have supported Farm Bureau issues, as demonstrated by their voting record.” The award is given to individuals who were nominated by their local or state Farm Bureau and approved by the Board of Directors of the Farm Bureau.

“I’m honored to be recognized by the Farm Bureau. They do great work supporting local farmers and helping to build strong agricultural communities across the country,” Congressman Mark Meadows said.

“I’m committed to supporting and standing up for farmers in Western North Carolina who are truly the backbone of our community,” Meadows added. “I’m grateful to the NC Farm Bureau for all of their advice and support.”
