April 26, 2013. The Town of Boone Water Use Committee meets on Wednesday, May 1, at 6 p.m. in the Boone Town Council Chambers at 1500 Blowing Rock Road.
The meeting is open to the public.
The agenda for the meeting hasn’t not been finalized, according to Lane Weiss, program coordinator with the Town of Boone’s Public Utility department. She added that it should be completed by the end of the day or Monday.
The Water Use Committee scheduled this meeting in late March when it met to discuss potential legislation that could derail the raw water intake project that is proposed along the South Fork of the New River. The committee also gave updates on the project, which currently is at a halt due to federal regulations.
