Aug. 7, 2013. Like they did in the previous two Mondays, local activists stood on the steps of the Jones House for “Moral Monday Watauga County.” The group held signs that focused on education, health care and voters’ rights. “Moral Monday,” which initially took place at the General Assembly in Raleigh during the legislative session, has now moved to different regions of the state – including Western North Carolina.
