The vigil begins at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, and takes place on the sidewalk off of West King Street in front of the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts. It follows the regularly occurring “Moral Monday Watauga County” rally on the Jones House steps, which begins at 5:30 p.m.

“Say NO to Airstrikes in Syria! Say NO to further American military intervention in the Middle East. Say NO to more bloodshed in YOUR NAME! Say YES to the ART of PEACE for a change!” the event page states. “Come stand in silent unity as way to SAY NO TO AIRSTRIKES AGAINST SYRIA.”
