  • Watauga: Early voting/Absentee Ballots; 20 of 20 precincts

Update: 9 p.m. —- All precincts are in as of 9 p.m., but the votes haven’t been tallied as of yet.

Nearly 500 provisional ballots have not been counted yet, and about half of those are from App State polling sites, according to Watauga County Board of Elections Member Stella Anderson, a Democrat.

Once the Watauga County Board of Elections decides whether or not these ballots are valid, then the vote totals will increase correspondingly. Any race close enough, within the total of provisional ballots, may be reversed during canvassing, when results are made official, on Friday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at the elections office.
