Ashe GOP Party Holds Reagan-Lincoln Day Luncheon June 22, Among Guests Sen. Hagan’s Future Opponent

June 7, 2013. The Ashe County Republican Party holds its Reagan-Lincoln Day Luncheon at noon on Saturday, June 22, at Shatley Springs Inn in Crumpler.

Among the elected officials scheduled to attend are U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx, N.C. Sen. Dan Soucek and N.C. Rep. Jonathan Jordan.

Also, Dr. Greg Brannon will be present. Brannon has declared his intention to run against U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan. According to release, “Brannon is a Christian, pro-life, pro-family, Tea Party, Constitutionally conservative Republican physician.”

“His conservative platform includes his pledge to defend the 2nd amendment, cut taxes, balance the budget, protect the union, repeal Obamacare and protect North Carolina’s sovereignty under the 10th amendment,” the release continued.  

Admission to the luncheon is $15 at the door and includes a southern-fried chicken lunch with country vegetables, biscuits, dessert and beverage. Shatley Springs Inn is located at 407 Shatley Springs Road.
