May 6, 2014. Watauga County Board of Elections Secretary Bill Aceto is advising residents who have concerns about polling precincts to speak with a precinct official inside the voting enclosure or contact staff in the Watauga County Board of Elections office rather than addressing those concerns to people standing outside of polling places with a sign that says, “Problems with voting or polling site? Talk to us!”

Aceto mentioned that the folks holding these signs at a number of polling places in Watauga County are not election officials.

“These individuals are not affiliated with the state or the board of elections,” Aceto said this afternoon.

As seen in the photo above, Judy Greary was among one of the individuals holding the sign. She was located at Agricultural Conference Center in downtown Boone early Tuesday morning and mentioned information was being compiled for a study.
