1,000+ Residents in Avery, Watauga County Vote Early, Election Day is Today, Tuesday, Nov. 7

Today is Election Day.

Early voting for the municipal elections ended on Saturday. In Avery County, 86 people voted early, according to Sheila Ollis, director of elections in Avery County.

In Watauga County, 951 people cast a ballot prior to Election Day, according to Donna Houck with the Watauga County Board of Elections. Houck said that 411 people voted at the Watauga County Courthouse one-stop site and 540 people voted at the early voting site on the App State campus.

Of those voters, 58 resided in Blowing Rock, 884 resided in Boone and nine resided in Beech Mountain. No voters from Seven Devils voted early. See sample ballots for all of the municipalities in Avery and Watauga counties below.
