Clara Rupard, D. Nov. 30, 2012
Mrs. Clara Rupard, 78, of Banner Elk, died on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Sam Turbyfill and Myrtle Hicks Turbyfill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Turbyfill.
She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Clara enjoyed Gardening, Sewing and Cooking. She loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.. Mrs. Rupard retired from John Cook Subaru where she worked as a Detailer.
Clara is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Andrew Rupard, Daughters – Vickie Turbyfill of Elk Park, NC, Cindy Bare, and her companion, Eddie Ingram, of Linville Falls, NC; Son – Skipper Blair, and his wife, Melissa, of Banner Elk, NC; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home The funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, with Rev. Lynn Shook officiating.
Family, friends, and pallbearers will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10:00 am to go in procession tot eh White Rock Cemetery for interment.
