About the Performance

Dragons in the Mountain is an original theatre work weaving together puppetry and masks, poetry and song, video, photography and live music to create a mythical Appalachian landscape. The story follows an environmental activist as he starts off on a journey to rejuvenate his soul and remind himself of the importance of a healthy, sustainable environment. On his journey, he encounters ancestral spirits, wild beasts, celestial companions, wizards, trolls, gnarly crones, elemental forces and, of course, dragons.
