Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Dec. 12 – 29

Dec. 12

INCIDENT: DWI was reported at 2588 U.S. Highway 321 S in Boone.

Dec. 14

ARREST: A male suspect, 24, of 1417 N.C. Highway 105 Bypass Unit 4 in Boone, was charged with child support. He was held under a $4,248 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 22.

Dec. 15

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 4074 Big Hill Road in Todd.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 130 Fire Tower Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 233 Whitaker Drive in Boone.

Dec. 16

INCIDENT: Spotlighting deer and possession of marijuana paraphernalia were reported at 2000 Rich Mountain Road in Zionville.

Dec. 17

INCIDENT: DWI was reported at Mike’s Inland Seafood in Boone.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering, larceny and vandalism were reported on the 4600 block of Mountain Dale Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1021 Ravens Ridge Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 1009 Howard Edmisten Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Watauga County Communications.

Dec. 18

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering was reported at 4866 Old U.S. Highway 421 in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported on the 500 block of Fork Ridge Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 451 Trivette Circle in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 262 E. Stone Drive in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 139 Patton Road in Boone.

Dec. 19

INCIDENT: Driving while license revoked, drug violations and open container were reported on U.S. Highway 421 N at Will Isaacs Road in Zionville.

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 2377 Longhope Road in Todd.

Dec. 21

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 3102 U.S. Highway 421 N in Boone.

INCIDENT: Found property was reported at 462 Hodges Gap Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Damage to property and larceny were reported at 1191 Edmisten Road in Blowing Rock.

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 1201 Arnett Hollow Road in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 317 George Moretz Lane in Boone.

INCIDENT: Larceny from motor vehicle was reported at DSS, 132 Poplar Grove Connector in Boone.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 167 Bryan Hollow Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Possession of methamphetamine was reported at 3784 U.S. Highway 321 in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and larceny were reported at 6429 U.S. Highway 421 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 111 Paul Critcher Drive in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 606 Tarleton Circle in Boone.

INCIDENT: Vandalism and aggravated assault were reported at 315 Rocky Road in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Drug violations were reported at 295 Hialeah in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 495 Betsy Circle in Todd.

Dec. 24

INCIDENT: Simple possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia were reported on U.S. Highway 321 N at Bethel Road in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 123 Old Chigger Trail in Boone.

INCIDENT: Second degree trespassing was reported at 590 Seven Devils Road in Banner Elk.

Dec. 25

INCIDENT: Assault on a female was reported at 9115 N.C. Highway 105 S Unit 6 in Banner Elk.

INCIDENT: Simple non-physical assault was reported at 646 Valle Meadows Trail in Sugar Grove.

ARREST: A male suspect, 56, of 370 Arnett Hollow Road in Vilas, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $3,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

Dec. 26

INCIDENT: Missing medication was reported at 646 Valle Meadows Trail in Sugar Grove.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 111 Bluebonnet Drive in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 44, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with two counts of parole and probation violations. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15.

INCIDENT: Breaking or entering was reported at 6429 U.S> Highway 421 N. in Vilas.

INCIDENT: Drug violations/simple possession was reported at 498 Community College Drive int. in Boone.

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 2750 Russ Cornett Road in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 31, of 344 Sims Hill Road in Elizabethton, was charged with breaking or entering. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 25, of 116 #51 Spring City Drive in JC, was charged with breaking or entering. He was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 120 B R Ward Lane in Butler, was charged with breaking and entering a building and two counts of OFA-FTA. He was held under a $2,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

Dec. 28

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering a building and damage to property were reported at Two Rivers Community School.

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 55, of 585 Leisure Acres Lane in Boone, was charged with felony assault serious bodily injury. He was held under a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 11.

ARREST: A male suspect, 23, of 892 Fallview Lane Unit 1 in Boone, was charged with FTA.

Dec. 29

INCIDENT: Injury to real property was reported at 6696 Old U.S. Highway 421 in Deep Gap.

INCIDENT: Simple assault was reported at 118 Middle Hill Drive Unit A in Boone.

ARREST: A male suspect, 33, of 887 Hidden Valley Drive in Boone, was charged with injury to real property. He was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

ARREST: A female suspect, 21, of 118 Middle Hill Drive Unit A in Boone, was charged with simple assault and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Lowe’s Food, 267 New Market Centre.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 877 W. King St.

Dec. 22

INCIDENT: Larceny and removal of an anti-shoplifting device were reported at Wal-Mart, 200 Watauga Village Drive.

INCIDENT: Larceny from motor vehicle was reported in the parking lot at Harris Teeter, 240 Shadowline Drive.

Dec. 23

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 203 Pine St.

INCIDENT: Criminal damage to property was reported at 108 Queen St.

INCIDENT: Resisting arrest, drunk and disruptive and assault on a government official were reported at 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone.

INCIDENT: Indecent liberties with a child and solicit a child by computer and meet were reported at 1500 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: A male suspect, 53, of 338 Brook Hollow Road in Boone, was charged with resisting arrest, drunk and disruptive and assault on a government official. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

INCIDENT: Breaking and entering and damage to property were reported at Mount Lawn Cemetery, 521 Old E. King St.

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at High Country Condos, 1469 W. King St.

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Belk, 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

ARREST: An order for arrest was issued for a female suspect, 36, of 397 Charlie Hicks Road in Banner Elk. She was held under a $12,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.

ARREST: A male suspect, 42, of 139 Patton Lane in Boone, was charged with larceny. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

ARREST: A male suspect, 37, of 844 Canter Road in Trade, was charged with no operator’s license. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 65, of 601 S. Jefferson St. in West Jefferson, was charged with FTA – simple worthless check. He was held under a $750 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 1.

Dec. 27

ARREST: A male suspect, 30, of 102 Simpson St. Unit A in Greeneville, was charged with indecent liberties with a child and solicit child by computer and appear. He was held under a $75,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

ARREST: A male suspect, 49, of 544 Cedar Lane in Boone, was charged with possession of an open container of alcohol, speeding at 64 mph in a 35 mph zone, DWI and careless and reckless driving and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.
