Weekly Crime Reports: Activity and Arrests in Boone and Watauga County, Jan. 4 – 10

The following information is provided by local law enforcement agencies.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following were provided by the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office.

Jan. 4

 

INCIDENT: Fraud – worthless check was reported at 682 Bryan Hollow Road in Boone.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 459 Isenhour Road in Zionville.

 

Jan. 5

 

INCIDENT: Fraud – credit card/ATM was reported at 217 Red Wolf in Blowing Rock.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 176 Wildcat Road in Deep Gap.

 

Jan. 6

 

INCIDENT: Fraud – credit card/ATM was reported at 405 Churchhill Downs Road in Boone.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 29, of 300 Mountainview Ch Road in Deep Gap, was charged with FTP child support. He was held under a $932 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 62, of 1056 Old Glade Road in Deep Gap, was charged with assault on a female and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

 

ARREST: A female suspect, 27, of 232 Bluebird Lane in Boone, was charged with felony PWIMSD a schedule VI controlled substance, maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. She was held under a $4,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

Jan. 7

 

INCIDENT: Suspicious activity was reported at 3260 Poplar Grove Road S. in Boone.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny of a dog was reported at 1408 Fat Top Road in Blowing Rock.

 

INCIDENT: A female suspect, 44, of 404 N. Hampton Road in Boone, was charged with order for arrest/failure to appear. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.

 

ARREST: A female suspect, 31, of 125 Badger St. in Jefferson, was charged with felony conspiracy to manufacture meth, conspiracy to possess precursor and poss/distribute meth precursor. She was held under a $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 18, of 176 B Laurel Reach Lane in Boone, was charged with felony aid and abet larceny. He was held under a $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

Jan. 8

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 22, of 166 A Azor Court in Boone, was charged with simple assault and false imprisonment. He was held under a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 1846 Forest Grove Road in Vilas, was charged with felony breaking and entering a building and larceny from buildings. He was held under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 61, of 386 Hornblend Drive in Boone, was charged with fraud – worthless checks and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 3.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 17, of 140 Ospreys View Road in Boone, was charged with resisting a public officer and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

 

Jan. 9

 

INCIDENT: Fraud was reported at 245 Chapel Hills Road in Boone.

 

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 615 Fallview Lane in Boone.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at Speedway Seven Devils, 10656 N.C. Highway 105 S in Banner Elk.

 

INCIDENT: Calls for service and drug violations were reported at 121 Snowflake Lane in Blowing Rock.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 39, of 121 Monteagle Drive Apt. B in Boone, was charged with driving while license revoked. He was held under a $500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 26, of 150 Millard Cooper Lane in Mountain City, was charged with FTA. He was held under a $30,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 27, of 998 High Country Lane in Iron Station, was charged with speeding, driving left of center and open container and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

 

Jan. 11

 

INCIDENT: Burglary – forcible entry and larceny were reported at 6704 Meat Camp Road in Todd.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 5983 Old U.S. Highway 421 in Zionville.

 

INCIDENT: Assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 2103 Browns Chapel Road in Boone.

 

INCIDENT: Fraud – impersonation was reported at 236 Brooks St. in Vilas.

 

INCIDENT: Calls for service were reported at 2384 Peoria Road in Sugar Grove.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 181 Green Briar Road in Boone.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 34, of 646 Arnett Hollow Road in Vilas, was charged with carrying a concealed gun, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana up to ½ oz. and communicating threats. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 51, of 200 Mallard Cove Lane in Butler, was charged with DWLR and fictitious registration plate and is scheduled to appear in court on March 3.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 35, of 856 Eagle Drive in Boone, was charged with contempt of court/perjury/court violations. He was held under a $752 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 14.

Jan. 4

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at AJ’s Tire and Auto, 359 E. King St.

 

INCIDENT: Damage to property was reported at 183 Woodpecker Lane.

 

Jan. 5

 

INCIDENT: Larceny from a motor vehicle and breaking and entering a motor vehicle were reported at 140 S. Depot St.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny by employee was reported at Sports Fanatic, 1180 Blowing Rock Road.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 129 Lazy Lake Road Apt. 3 in Boone, was charged with possession of an open container, driving left of center and DWI – alcohol and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

Jan. 6

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 489 W. King St.

 

INCIDENT: A male suspect, 23, of 114 Kimberly Drive #17 In Boone, was charged with failure to maintain lane control and DWI – alcohol and/or drugs and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

Jan. 7

 

INCIDENT: Larceny – shoplifting was reported at Lowe’s Hardware, 1855 Blowing Rock Road.

 

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 375 Tracy Circle.

 

Jan. 8

 

INCIDENT: Fraud – wire/computer/other electronic manipulation was reported at 36 Howard St. Apt. A.

 

INCIDENT: Defrauding an innkeeper was reported at Greene’s Motel, 1377 Blowing Rock Road.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny by employee was reported at Bubbles Car Wash, 1157 U.S. Highway 421 S.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at 2968 N.C. Highway 105.

 

INCIDENT: Larceny was reported at the Scotchman, 1321 Blowing Rock Road.

 

Jan. 9

 

INCIDENT: Simple physical assault was reported at Town Tavern, 208 Faculty St.

 

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 877 W. King St.

 

ARREST: A male suspect, 21, of 7218 Alexander Farm Road in Monroe, was charged with possessing weapons under an active Domestic Violence Protection Order and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

 

ARREST: A female suspect, 51, of 129 Snowy Oak Road in Boone, was charged with larceny. She was held under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.

 

ARREST: A female suspect, 20, of 499 Winklers Creek Road Apt. 301 in Boone, was charged with failure to appear. She was held under a $2,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 15.

 

Jan. 10

 

INCIDENT: Larceny from a motor vehicle was reported at 241 Marich Lane.

 

INCIDENT: Vandalism was reported at 200 Watauga Village Drive.
