May 14, 2012. The Watauga Humane Society’s 31st Annual Rummage Sale will be held June 29-30, 2012, at the National Guard Armory, 482 State Farm Road in Boone.
Once again this year, the armory will be stocked full of clothing, linens, housewares, furniture, books, shoes and electronics.
If you’d like to give donations of antiques, working appliances, books, computers, crafts, furniture, jewelry, etc., please take your donations to Blue Skies Storage, 482 State Farm Road in Boone, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Mondays. After pulling into the Blue Skies parking lot, make an immediate right and continue around the building to Door #5. Signs will be posted to mark the door where volunteers will help you.
Efforts are greatly appreciated by the animals waiting for their forever families and homes.
A 1-year-old, female, spayed, Carolina dog mix named Bailey is one of several animals up for adoption. She loves talking about herself.
“Hi! My name’s Bailey, and I know I’m cute. I was adopted in January and returned to the shelter when my owner had to move to non pet friendly housing. I love everyone I meet, I enjoy playing with other dogs and I was used to going to work with my owner every day. I’m perfectly housebroken, and a great snuggler! I’d really appreciate it if you came by the shelter to meet everybody!”
