June 26, 2014. On Friday and Saturday, June 27-28, The Watauga Humane Society will host the 33rd annual Rummage Sale Fundraiser inside the Boone Armory. For months, the Watauga Humane Society has collected donations of items to sell at the Rummage Sale to raise funds for the care of the animals who call the shelter their temporary home.
This year’s event is dedicated to Patricia Cade who passed away last year and who worked tirelessly for years to hold the second largest fundraiser for the organization.
Items for sale at the event will include:
- Clothing: Men, women and children
- Linens: Towels, bedspreads, sheets, blankets and pillows
- Housewares: Dishes, glasses, mugs, pots and pans
- Furniture: Sofas, chairs, tables, beds, dressers
- Books: Novels, textbooks, cookbooks, children’s books
- Shoes: Boots, sneakers, high heels, clogs, flip flops
- Electronics, kitchen appliances, TVs, radios, lighting
- Decorations and crafts
- Pet items
- Artwork
- Toys
- Antiques and collectables
The hours for the Rummage Sale will be Friday, June 27 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, June 28 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
The Boone Armory is located across from the Watauga County Parks and Recreation on Hunting Hills Road.
