Both Watauga County & Town of Boone Closing Offices at 4 p.m. on Wednesday

Watauga County and Town of Boone officers are closing at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, according to public service announcements from both governments.

Here is more info from each entity:

 Town of Boone

“Due to inclement weather, all Town of Boone offices will be closing at 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016. However, we do anticipate the Board of Adjustment meeting to still be held today at 5:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers.

Watauga County

Road conditions will continue to be monitored and a decision will be made at 6:30 A.M. Thursday, January 21, 2016, regarding the potential delay or closure of County offices for the day.

The Watauga County Sanitation Department and all Container Sites will close at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 20, 2016, and will follow normal operating schedules for Thursday, January 21, 2016.  Please call the Watauga County Sanitation Department for up-to-date information regarding hours of operations.
