Feb. 12, 2014. The annual Valentine’s Day Dinner Theater hosted by The Department of Student Programs and Appalachian Food Services has sold out for this Friday. The dinner and a show event will feature the Appalachian Musical Theater Ensemble in an entertaining “miscast” production of unlikely love song choices.
The event will be held in two showings, at 6 and 8:30 p.m., in the Blue Ridge Ballroom of Plemmons Student Union on the campus of Appalachian State University.
Guests will be treated to a wine-tasting reception prior to the dinner and performance hosted by Grandfather Vineyard Winery. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
The menu is set to serve salad, pasta and dessert with vegetarian options offered.
The show will consist of Broadway love songs spanning the decades. The Appalachian Theater and Dance Ensemble’s performers will sing songs they would have never been cast for in a “miscast” production, according to Appalachian State University’s special events website.
