Sept. 20, 2012. Swift Technique, Philly’s most explosive funk, soul and live hip-hop band, will be returning to Boone Saloon this weekend. Swift debuted at The Boone Saloon in the Summer of 2012 and will return to join local artists, Bubonik Funk. Most recently, Swift Technique supported Big Sam’s Funky Nation at The 8×10 in Baltimore. On their upcoming tour, the group will also be joined on keyboards by Jay Davidson. Over twenty years into his music career, Jay has toured the world with Steve Winwood, Whitney Houston and The Funk Brothers.

Swift Technique will be hitting the stage at Boone Saloon, located at 89 West King St., Boone, on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. Here are two short videos from the group’s recent performance with Questlove of the Roots: http://youtu.be/kbRUr3blcDc | http://youtu.be/0lpa5nnCdmk.

Swift Technique is a blend of James Brown, Led Zeppelin, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Roots. Equipped with a three piece horn section, the group has come together to create something that uniquely represents their hometown of Philadelphia.

After opening for Wu-Tang Clan, Kermit Ruffins, Keri Hilson, Wale, ?uestlove, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Mr. Lif and others during the last two years, the group has established themselves as one of the premiere live bands on the East Coast.

“Well its not everyday you run into a band that you can automatically feel is destined for greatness. Swift Technique does Philly proud with their eclectic vibes and funky tunes. Get your autographs and photo ops now, because in about 3 years, the only time you’ll see them this close and personal is on TV.” – Christian Denzel, Sheddin.com
