Sept. 9, 2013. The Watauga Republican Party had a standing room only crowd for their GOP Cook Out held last Thursday at the Fairway Café at the Boone Golf Course.  The sold-out crowd  comprised of many of the party faithful, college and high school Republicans, plus a lot of new faces.

They filled up the dining room and over flowed onto the terrace patio, enjoying an evening of fellowship, music and food.

Speakers included nearly every local Republican office holder including Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, State Senator Dan Soucek, State Representative Jonathan Jordan, and all three Republican County Commissioners.

Other county and municipal Republican officials were recognized as were Republican candidates for the upcoming 2013 and 2014 elections.

Watauga County GOP party Chair Anne Marie Yates welcomed the crowd and thanked event organizers and attendees.
