Relay for Life Pageant June 23 Hosted by Faith Walkers’ Relay for Life Team to Benefit American Cancer Society

June 6, 2012. The Relay for Life Pageant will be June 23 at the National Guard Armory in Mountain City, Tenn., located on Hwy 421. Registration is at 12:30 p.m., and the pageant begins promptly at 1:30 p.m. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

This pageant is hosted by Faith Walkers’ Relay for Life team.

The entry fee is $40, and all participates will receive a tiara. Winners will recieve a sash, tiara and trophy. All participates will be judged on beauty (attire is dressy, but does not have to be a pageant glitzy dress. Could be anything from full glitz to church dress). We will also have an outfit of choice (attire is absolutely anything. Can be custom made outfit, sportwear, off the rack outfit, tutu, you name it).

There will also be a most photogenic category. This is an additional $5 for 2 pictures. Please no frames. Pictures do not have to be professional.

Age groups are 0-12 months, 12-24 months, 3-5 years, 6-9 years and 10 and up. Both boys and girls welcome.

We also want to honor four survivors. A survivor is anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer. You do not have to be in remission or have completed treatments to be a Survivor. Pageant organizers are looking for a Princess and Prince (girl and boy under 16 years of age), and a Queen and King (adult male and female). Vendors will include craft, jewerly, candles, clothing, etc. Anyone interested in having a booth at the pageant, please contact Misste Phillippi for information.

Pageant admission fee is $3 for adults and $2 for children (6-11), 5 & under is free.
