Sept. 24, 2012. The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 1:30 p.m. They will meet in the conference room on the second floor of the Senior Center on Poplar Grove in Boone. The program, “Pet Screen Tote,” will be presented by Melinda Wright. She will show the guild how to make a tote bag made with pet screen fabric.

You will need to bring three complimentary fat quarters, one package of black extra wide bias tape, black thread, a # 14 – # 16 jeans needle or #100, cutting mat and ruler, rotary cutter, scissors, chalk marker and any embellishments for tote bags. They have cut the pet screen for the bags and handles. Join the fun in making your own unique tote.
