July 30, 2012. Ashe County Piecemakers Quilt Guild presents the 10th Annual Quilt Fair Friday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 15 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jefferson Station, 20 East Ashe Street, West Jefferson.
‘Our Journey: Celebrating a Decade of Quilting’ will be judged by NQA Certified Quilt Judge, Lorraine Covington and will include Viewers Choice Awards.
Gyleen Fitzgerald will be the guest author and will speak at 10am on Saturday, Sept 15. Her topic will be ‘Quilts: Unfinished Stories with New Endings.’ She is appearing in conjunction with Ashe County’s Literary Festival, ‘On the Same Page.’
There will be a Guild Shoppe with quilts for sale, a Guild Boutique with handcrafted items for sale, a fundraiser quilt, a Vendor Village with 14 vendors from NC and SC, as well as a small quilt silent auction. Lunch will also be available on both days.
Neva Hart, an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser will be available by appointment only. If you have a quilt that you would like to have appraised, please call Mary Rodgers at 336-877-5399 to schedule an appointment.

This event is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted upon entry and are gratefully appreciated for the Guild’s work to provide donated quilts to the Ashe County Community.
