The Appalachian State University campus is empty on a very chilly Thursday morning.

Classes for Appalachian State University are cancelled until at least Friday morning at 10 a.m.

Not a good day to be a duck, but this is nothing new for the ducks at the Duck Pond on the campus of Appalachian State University.

Rivers Street, which runs through the college campus, is lightly travelled this morning as classes are cancelled and offices of the Town of Boone and Watauga County are closed on Thursday.
