Peabody Wine & Beer Merchants of Boone Hosts Wine Tasting from 5 to 7 p.m. Today for King Estate Wine

Press Release From: Peabody’s Wine & Beer Merchants

March 1 2012. BOONE — “We begin a two part series of wines centered in the upper northwest. Most of you are familiar with Oregon as being the ‘it’ of American Pinot Noir production and that King Estate is one of the region’s champions for high quality wines. Join Michael Odom of Tryon Distributing as he reacquaints us.

We will compare and contrast the merits of the Domaine Pinot Noir to the Signature and differences in the Signature Pinot Gris and the Acrobat Pinot Gris. Then somewhat off the beaten path of the classic notion of Oregon wine: King Estate Vin Glace, a dessert wine made from Pinot Gris. And as an added treat for the fuller bodied reds out there, King Estate also produces a Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington called the North-by-Northwest. This will ensure to be a wonderful tasting and should not be missed.

Note: The Premier Wine Tasting is a weekly tasting every Thursday of higher tiered wines. A $5 per person charge is required. This Thursday, only, the featured wines will receive the 10% discount per bottle and 15% discount by the 1/2 case.”
