A Freakin’ Cask of Two Hearted…’Nuff Said.

Peabody’s Wine & Beer Merchants – July 17, 5-7 p.m.

Chris, as your therapist and long lost best friend from 15 years ago, says not to make plans tomorrow as his buddy from Bell’s, Hogue the Southeastern Rep taps a cask…yes, a freakin’ cask of Two Hearted plus some Oarsman, Oberon and maybe some Amber Ale.

Note: Peabody’s holds a beer tasting every Tuesday and extends a 10 percent discount on all tasted beers.

Premier Wine Tasting Thursday: Star Lane, Chateau Malmaison and Fall Line Tasting

Peabody’s Wine and Beer Merchants – July 19, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

One of the favorite mistresses of the vine and wine-spiritual guides, Lynne Lear blesses Peabody’s bar with tidings from Dionysus, god of wine this Thursday. She brings forth some newer and older faves:

Chateau Malmaison from Bordeaux $32.99 (down from $40.99)

Fall Line Exhibition Red (WA) $27.99

Patriach Bourgogne Rouge $16.99 (Burgundy Pinot Noir)

Star Lane Sauvignon Blanc $20.99 (Santa Ynez Valley, CA)

Chateau Mirambeau Blanc $15.49 (Bordeaux Sauv. Blanc)

Experience serious wine.

The Premeir Wine Tasting does charge $5 per to taste upper scale wines. There is an upside: the night of 10 percent off bottles from the tasting or 15 percent off a mixed half case of these wines.

Sour Grapes Presents… Sarah Wyle, the least sour grape in the bunch!

Peabody’s Wine & Beer Merchants – Saturday, July 21, 12-5 p.m.

Sarah Wyle steps in to present more of Sour Grapes to Peabody’s adoring public. Sour Grapes pursues those small producers from Europe and South America that really live up to the idea of sustainability as well as interesting flavors and nuances. Amongst those kinds of wines is Yo No Puedo Mas D’Agalis that’s so easy to fall in love with for not the awesome blend of Grenache and Syrah but due to

Sarah Wyle, the least sour grape in the bunch!

it’s irreverence of the stuffy French Wine culture. Wines like this don’t come along often and sometimes become hard to procure. Come on and taste this value under $15 plus some other newer, stranger wines.

Peabody’s hosts a free tasting every Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m. A 10 percent discount is offered on tasted wines and a 15 percent standard discount on any full or mix-matched cases of wine.

Peabody’s Wine & Beer Merchants is located at 1104 Hwy 105, Boone.
