North Carolina Poet Laureate Kicks Off National Novel Writing Month Celebration

Oct. 31, 2012. Joseph Bathanti, Appalachian State University faculty member and NC Poet Laureate , will be kicking off a National Novel Writing Month Celebration on Friday, Nov. 2. starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Watauga County Public Library.

National Novel Writing Month is an annual internet-based creative writing project which challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a new novel between Nov. 1 through Nov. 30. Despite its name it accepts entries from around the world.

All are invited to learn more about this project and meet our local poet laureate!

The Watauga County Public Library is located at 140 Queen Street in downtown Boone.
