June 11, 2012. New River State Park is offering a June summer program series for preschool aged children. These programs are held on Thursday mornings for preschool children, but everyone is welcome.
Bats – Thursday, June 14, 10 a.m.
Join a Park Ranger at New River State Park’s Visitor Center to learn about bats, read a story and make a craft project to take home. This program is geared toward preschool aged children.
Bird Feeders – Thursday, June 21, 10 a.m.
Meet at New River State Park at the US Hwy 221 Visitor Center to learn about birds you may see around your house and make a feeder. This program is geared toward preschool aged children.
Water Bugs – Thursday, June 28, 10 a.m.
Join a Park Ranger at Wagoner Access Area to look for aquatic critters found in the New River. Wear shoes you can get wet, no flip flops please. Life jackets will be provided. (This program is geared toward preschool aged children)
All programs are open to the public and are free of charge.
