Press Release from the Hospitality House:
New River Light and Power and Hospitality House have partnered on a new community oriented initiative – the NRLP Good Neighbor Round Up Program. Targeted to help those in need, this voluntary program uses your small change to help transform lives!
Ed Miller, General Manager of New River Light and Power is very excited about partnering with the Hospitality House. “The NRLP Good Neighbor Round Up Program can have a profound impact on the Boone Community. We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship with the Hospitality House and that relationships’ success will be measured by the individuals, families and “Good Neighbors” this program is able to assist.”
All money donated and received will go towards providing financial assistance through Hospitality House Prevention Services for those in the NRLP service area that need help with their electric bills.
Your donation can make a real difference for someone such as an elderly resident, a struggling family, or perhaps someone with unexpected medical bills or a job layoff. With your assistance, neighbors will be helping neighbors keep the basic service of electricity flowing.
“We are thrilled with our new partnership with NRLP,” states Hospitality House Prevention Services Coordinator Jenn Alexander. “This is a natural fit for us. It increases our ability to serve the twenty-two percent of Wataugans that live in poverty and further solidifies Hospitality House as a clearinghouse of services to help those who need it.
The NRLP Good Neighbor Round Up Program kicked off March 1st. For more information about the program contact Joseph Piazza @ NRLP (828) 264-3671 or Todd Carter @ Hospitality House (828) 264-1237
