Music, Irish Car Bombs and Craziness: Speakeasy Tattoo Presents Tattoos for Schools at the Boone Saloon

Boone Saloon hosts and Speakeasy Tattoo presents the fourth annual Tattoos for Schools on St. Patrick’s Day at the Boone Saloon. The Tremors, Captain Stab ‘Tuggo and The Drawstrings will perform the benefit show. The show starts at 10:00 p.m. and costs $5, though a $10 donation is suggested.

The Tremors are a trio that features an upright bass, drums and a guitar. The band’s website states “through passionate research and exploration into rock’n’roll history, the band has created their own unique blend of style by combining classic Sun Records-era rockabilly with the reckless abandon of late 70’s punk rock. Captain Stab ‘Tuggo is a body piercer who performs a sideshow on the side. Among other acts, he has mastered the art of sword swallowing, and he can pick up a keg with his ear lobes. For more information about this insane act, click to www.stab-tuggo.com.

The Drawlstrings performs “garage blues rock” and its sound resembles the “Avett Brothers jacked up,” according to band members. Their Facebook page states that “the first 43 people in get to do Irish car bombs with Chad & Liam [of the Drawlstrings]. For more information about this band, click to www.thedrawlstrings.com.
