More of the Same – Watauga County Manager Responds To Town’s April 19 Letter: Confirm Open Meeting Date

April 24, 2013. Below is an April 23 letter from County Manager Deron Geouque addressed to Town of Boone Manager Greg Young that concerns a meeting between the two government bodies. 

For a few weeks now, members of the Boone Town Council and the Watauga County Board of Commissioners have struggled to schedule a meeting regarding the sale of the old Watauga High School and the potential distribution of the sales tax to an ad valorem basis, which would cause the Town of Boone to lose $2 million in revenues.
