June 21, 2012. Hola, amigos y amigas! Meet the popular stars of Nickelodeon’s hit animated preschool series, Dora the Explorer™ and Go, Diego, Go!™, at Tweetsie Railroad during a family fun-filled three-day weekend June 22-24. Dora the Explorer and her cousin Diego will meet, greet and pose for pictures with fellow adventurers from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the weekend.
Dora is a 7-year-old Latina heroine, whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests. Diego Marquez, Dora’s cousin, is an 8-year-old action-adventure hero who loves nature and animals. Dora and Diego explore their world just as preschoolers do everyday and their television shows actively engage audiences using a variety of learning techniques.
Tweetsie Railroad offers these special events and guest appearances in addition to the daily features of Wild West family fun. Hop aboard the famed steam-powered Tweetsie locomotive for an unforgettable three-mile adventure through the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Visitors can also spend the day walking the streets of a Western town, experience the long-ago era of cowboys and Indians, take a spin on a variety of rides, visit the animals at the Deer Park Zoo, be a part of the toe-tappin’ live entertainment and shows and take a scenic chair lift ride to Miner’s Mountain and pan for gold.
