March 5, 2012 – The Hibriten Garden Club of Lenoir held their February meeting at the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum on February 23. The ladies dined in the Education Center and toured the Museum’s main exhibit, Elliott Daingerfield: Art and Life in North Carolina, exploring the artist’s use of flowers, both in his still life and landscape paintings. During lunch they also discussed the meanings of various flowers in the Victorian era. The meeting was hosted by Sherry Ford and Janet Wilson; members of the club who attended the meeting were: Evelyn Bean, Donna Crisp, Deb Ellis, Ann Hancock, Betty Lou Miller, Betty Purcell, Mary Lib Todd and Susan Powers.
