June 5, 2012. The Lees-McRae Department of Athletics will hold several day camp sessions in the coming weeks for the sports of Kids Basketball, Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Kids Soccer and Girls Softball.
The Bobcat Basketball Camp will be held on June 18-22 for campers ages 7-17. This camp will provide instruction and activities for all skill levels. The cost of the camp is $125.
The Bobcat Boys Lacrosse Camp for beginning and intermediate Lacrosse campers will be held June 11-14. This camp is open to all middle and high school age boys. This camp will be under the direction of Men’s Lacrosse Coach Andy Nesdill, with assistance from new Women’s Lacrosse Coach Ray Cameron. The cost is $55.
The Ray Cameron Bobcat Girls Lacrosse Camp will be held July 1-3 and will teach basics of the game. The camp is open to girls ages 9-18 and will cost $55.
The annual Bobcat Kids Soccer Camp will again be held on the Lees-McRae campus July 16-20. This camp features the chance to learn soccer, as well as a visit to Wildcat Lake and swimming time in the afternoons. The camp is open to ages 5-14. The cost is $135 and lunch can be provided from Subway of Banner Elk for $5.
The High Country Softball Day Camp will be held June 18-22 for campers ages 8-14. The camp features instruction in all skills of the game of Softball. The cost is $85. There will also be an advance camp for high school age (14-17) girls on June 16-28. The cost for the advance camp is $100.
