Nov. 14, 2012. Lee Brice will bring the national tour of his Deep South, heavy-hitting country music to Appalachian State University on Sunday Dec. 2, 2012 at 8 p.m. at Legends night club on campus. Local band Blue Country will open the show.
Tickets are $15 for students in advance and $20 for the public and at the door. Student tickets are available at the ticket counter located at the Plemmons Student Union information desk Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Online tickets can be purchased here.
Topping the billboard charts with his back-to-back No. 1 singles “A Woman Like You” and “Hard to Love” Brice is more than a rising star in the country music scene. He was nominated for the CMA and ACM awards in Best New Artist, Breakthrough Artist of the year, Breakthrough Single and Song of the Year, and he is quickly climbing to the top. Brice has also performed alongside CMA hall of famer Garth Brooks and country legend Tim McGraw.
Legends is a university-operated venue that features a BYOB policy allowing of-age patrons to bring one six-pack of beer or one bottle of unfortified wine. More information can be found at legends.appstate.edu. Admission is limited to those 18 and older with valid identification.
The concert is sponsored by the Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS). Through its seven programming councils, APPS members select, plan, promote and present a diverse variety of popular entertainment programs and films that enhance the social and cultural life for Appalachian students.
