Landscape Artist Chip Callaway Presents ‘Gardens Great and Small’ June 19 for Blowing Rock’s Garden Month

June 5, 2012. Landscape architect Chip Callaway will present “Gardens Great & Small; the 30-year Career of a Landscape Designer” on Tuesday, June 19, at Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock. Callaway’s presentation will include a lecture at 10:30 a.m., followed by a plated lunch and private guided tours of selected Blowing Rock gardens. 

Callaway’s award-winning gardens have been featured in many publications, including Southern Accents, Southern Living, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Horticulture Magazine, Cottage Living and Fine Gardening. His most recent appearance in Blowing Rock, three years ago, was a sellout.

Callaway’s company, founded in 1980, specializes in residential, hospitality and historic garden design. Over the years, Callaway and his staff have designed nearly 1,000 gardens, ranging in size from large estates to small patios, mostly in the Carolinas and Virginia, as well as in Nantucket, Long Island, Palm Beach and England.
