KOA Campground to ‘Quake’ from Greenes Singing Memorial for Tony & Everette Greene Aug. 2-5

Aug. 1, 2012. Southern gospel fans and Christian music lovers in general know that the western North Carolina Mountains are “quaking,” and the evil one is trembling. The angelic voices of Heaven are now singing and rejoicing about what is going to take place in Boone.

Starting at 7 p.m., from August 2 to 5, at KOA Campground in Boone is the Greene’s Homecoming: a memorial for Tony & Everette Greene. This annual tradition will memorialize two southern gospel sensations, Tony Greene and his father, Everette Greene. This wholesome event is a special celebration of two Giants in God’s Army and in the History book of Southern Gospel.

Without trying to boost or brag, this year’s event is going to trump all previous Greene Family musical events. According to Tim Greene, the event’s host and coordinator, Boone and western NC will never be the same after four days of southern gospel’s finest singers and musicians.

Eight legendary gospel acts will be present. They are: The Freemans, Mark Trammell Quartet, Mike Wilson, Wayne Snipes, Chan Hubbard, Brian Birchfield, The Lesters and The Talley Trio. Also, a special appearance will be made by Teranda Greene (Tony’s wife) and Kim Hopper, sister of Tony and Tim. The Greenes will also sing every night, and Tim will preach on Sunday.

Tim Greene, a Grammy and Dove Award winner plus winner of many other musical accolades for his God-given talent will be singing and preaching. This man of God is on fire like never before.

Just a few months ago, Tim’s life was spared in a horrific bus crash. It is nothing but a miracle that he is alive and well today. This unthinkable accident happened when his tour bus dropped down a 60-foot ravine. After flying head first through the windshield, Tim’s head was pinned face-down in clay mud under the bus and his body was lying outside the bus.

Needless to say, today Tim is more than ever standing moment by moment upon his knees and lifting the name of Jesus in truth, spirit and song. That bus crash which caused Tim to nearly lose his arm from a bad infection is his second miracle and walk from the grip of death. As an attendee of The Tony and Everette Memorial singing event, you will hear how God Almighty wrapped His arms around Tim and spoiled the devil’s plan.

If you are in search for a place to relax, enjoy some good old southern gospel music and witness the move of the Holy Ghost, you need to make it your priority to be at KOA Campground from Aug. 2-5 at 7 p.m. Rain, sleet or whatever other hindrance will not stop this life-changing event. Bring your lawn chair and expect to be uplifted and your spirit to be rejuvenated. Great food will also be on hand.

With so many anointed singers and musicians who love Jesus Christ, there is no reason why yokes want to be broken and burden removed. Come out and celebrate two singing vessels who embraced God’s calling upon their lives. Be a witness of the might of Heaven quaking the earth and interrupting Satan’s plan. Kids 10 years of age or younger will be admitted free. Thickets are only $15 and can be purchased on the day of the performance.
