Please join us to welcome these talented artists to the Watauga County Arts Council on Friday evening.

The Mazie Jones Gallery will host the 2nd Annual Juried Exhibition in April.  The winners of the Juried Exhibition will be announced on Friday evening April 6th at 6:30 pm by Professor Warren Dennis of Appalachian State University.  The show consists of twenty-seven spectacular pieces of art work from local and adjoining counties.  Artists  include Kim Abernethy, Craig Franz, Sarah Gilley, Marsha Holmes, Ed Kline, Mark Nystrom, Alex Poorman, and many others.  You will not want to miss these magnificient pieces of art!  We wish to extend special thanks to Professor Dennis for jurying the show, Gary Nemcosky for installing the show, and the entire Watauga County Arts Council Gallery Committee for their dedication in making this show a success.

The Open Door Gallery proudly features works of Art Mart Academy for the month of April.  The Art Mart Academy show will consist of works that the students choose from what they have accomplished in the past few years.  It is wonderful to see their improvement and individuality shine.

Art Mart Academy strives to keep the lessons open to individual interpretation while honing the students critical thinking skills and developing the students knowledge of the principles and elements of art.  This show will be a wonderful event showcase for the participants, and we hope you will come support these artists.

The Serendipity Gallery continues to display wonderful paintings and drawings provided by the Project on Aging participants.  Marsha Holmes has been busy refreshing the artwork and getting ready for Spring.
