Pushing deep into the wilderness, William Linville and his son would give their lives near the river and the spectacular waterfall that still bears their names today. Join the ranger to learn how they met their tragic end.

Snakes, spiders, and bears. Oh My! Come and learn about the species that many people fear.

7:30 p.m. – Wilderness Skills: From Lost to Found With the Linville Central Rescue K-9 Team

We think that the worst will never happen, but if it does then what? Come learn how to prepare for the possibility of getting lost in the woods, and what steps search and rescue groups will be taking to find you. This will include a demonstration by the search dogs of the Linville Central Rescue K-9 team.
