High Country Pet Fest on Banner Elk Elementary Lawn Welcomes Four-Legged Attendees, Two-Legged Friends

May 17, 2012. The inaugural High Country Pet Fest is Saturday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on the lawn of the historic Banner Elk Elementary School in downtown Banner Elk.

The Pet Fest will include something for everyone, from canine entertainment to the newest pet friendly foods and products to enhance the lives of our four-legged Pet Fest attendees. Added offererings will include services such as pet photography and educational presentations by pet professionals, not to mention face painting for our two-legged friends.

The inaugural Pet Fest will bring an array of activities for both young and old and especially for those attending with strong bonds to their pets. Fun activities will include canine acts, a dog show highlighting tricks and a look-a-like pet contest.

With the pet industry maintaining a steady growth in these economic times, it’s the perfect time to bring this grassroots festival to the general public under one venue to both educate the pet owner in the care of their beloved pets and to bring unique items for their consumer pet needs.

With Banner Elk being a pet friendly community, the Pet Fest should be highly attended by the many pet lovers here in the High Country.
