Heritage Hall Presents Kenny Price and Musical History

Kenny Price

July 31, 2012. Kenny Price and Mountain Tradition on Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. is sponsored by Danny Herman Trucking, Inc. and Humphrey Masonry Supply, Inc. Kenny is known well by the locals for his musical talents and tradition. This is an annual treat to look forward to.

His Heritage Hall concert is dedicated to the memory of his father, Fred Price, a prominent old time musician from Johnson County and his son, Adam Price, who was able to play with Kenny for a short period.

During Price’s Heritage Hall concert, he will be playing Old English ballads and songs that Tom Ashley performed in the 20s and 30s. He will also be performing old time fiddle tunes his dad played as well as gospel songs that his son Adam liked to play. Additionally, he will be featuring old songs and ballads from the area with a brief history of each.

This show is not just a concert. It is a reflection of the rich musical history for which Johnson County is known throughout the region. What a great way to get in touch with the heritage of these hills and spend an evening with your friends and neighbors right here at Heritage Hall.

Additionally, Price will be singing and playing old songs and ballads about local stories along with a brief history of each. This group is known for their incredible talent on a variety of instruments.
