Press release from the Hospitality House.
April 10, 2012. Work the runway with Hospitality House as they commemorate their new partnership with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina and celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the Goodwill retail store in Boone.
Taking place May 3, 6pm at Boone’s chic new Courtyard Marriott, the Struttin’ Our Stuff Benefit Fashion Show will feature local celebrity models – including a “Mayoral pose-off” – wearing the latest in vintage, classic, and current fashions from Goodwill retail locations.
“Putting on a fashion show to benefit a local non-profit using clothes from my favorite store, Goodwill, is something that I’ve always wanted to do,” states event coordinator Susan Bolash. “That the Hospitality House and Goodwill are now working together on workforce development and donation coordination is more than I ever dreamed of.”
Catered by Gadabouts and sponsored by Blue Ridge Pediatrics, The Bitter Pear, E.A.T. Cakes, Sunrise Grill, M-Prints, Robert Charles Salon, Lynne Townsend Photography and Boone Drugs, the event also includes a silent auction, cash bar and the opportunity to bid on and take home the runway fashions.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at http://hospitalityhouseofboone.org or in person at Courtyard Marriott, M-Prints, Robert Charles Salon and Hospitality House. 100% of the proceeds benefit Hospitality House and their mission of helping people rebuild their lives.
