Flowers Left At Doc Watson Statue in Downtown Boone; Condition Improves After Surgery, yet Still Critical
High Country residents have left flowers at the Doc Watson statue on the corner of West King Street and North Depot Street in downtown Boone. Watson was hospitalized on Monday after falling. Watson had colon surgery on Thursday. His condition is improving yet still critical, according to his manager Mitch Greenhill. He is currently at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
