May 15, 2014. Today is the last day for early registration for the second annual High Country Mud Run. The annual race, which will be held at the High Country Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17, already has several hundred registered to participate, with plenty of room for more. Registration will also be available on the day of the event. Don’t forget that the starting times are staggered, so not everyone races at once. Start times range from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
“We already have several hundred people signed up to race,” said Kenny Johnson, who coordinates the mud runs.
“Though not as many as last year. We think that its because all the students are done with school around this time, but we are expecting a big crowd this weekend.”
Traditional mud run lovers will rejoice at this event, which features races for teams and individuals over muddy terrain and obstacles that will challenge even the most seasoned athlete.
Registration for single racers is $50 through May 15. Registration for teams of four is $200 through May 15.
