Dr. Gonzalez to Appear on ‘Appalachian Perspective’

Aug. 3, 2012. Appalachian State University’s new provost and executive vice chancellor, Dr. Lori Gonzalez, is the latest guest on “Appalachian Perspective,” the university’s cable television program. 

In this episode, Gonzalez discusses the “mountains of opportunities” Appalachian gives students, including the new honors and engagement village being built for use by students in the Honors College. She also discusses her goals for academic affairs within the university, which include expanding research and developing more doctoral programs.

Before coming to Appalachian during the fall of 2011, Gonzalez was the dean of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky. She is also a licensed speech pathologist.

“Appalachian Perspective” is hosted by Chancellor Kenneth E. Peacock.
